We spent the evening down on Edmonds along the waterfront. Here are a few photos.

Seattle Snow 2021
Its been quite the snow filled few days here just north of Seattle. The whole region got a good dumping, and yesterday stayed below freezing. It’s supposed to warm up and start raining overnight. Thus, I expect most of the snow will melt away tomorrow and Tuesday. I did grab a few good photos, though.
An Awesome Sunny Saturday At Greenlake
Well, we slept in, which was lovely all by itself. But then, on a whim, I convinced my family to head to Greenlake. A gorgeous day, I wanted to shoot some photos out in the sun. Well, it was a bit cooler than everyone expected. Otherwise, it was quite nice.
Our first stop was for lunch. My son was craving a burger. We’d been up Teddy’s Biggest Burger before. His elementary school did a fundraiser the several years ago. I enjoyed the crispy chicken burger, while my son enjoyed the Kilauea Fire burger. Not as spicy as you might expect from the name. A nice kick (he let me have a bite before he inhaled the rest). Anyway, I enjoyed it. (Side note: I’m thinking it’d be fun to do a regional burger tour. What do you think?)
Next, we walked the lake. I’ve always enjoyed that. Back when I was a boy, I’d blast through on my bike (it was far less crowded back then). As I got older, I enjoyed walking more. Gets a better look at the scenery.
We ended the day back up in Edmonds. The kids st Edmonds Heights finished up their run of Beauty and the Beast. A charming production. I’ve developed a deep fondness for community and student theater. The quality was great, and the commitment fun to see. (I didn’t get any photos, though).
I have some ideas for upcoming blog posts, which I’ll pull together over the next few days. It’s time to update my Geek Events list. I noticed another building that’s struggling (this one’s in Marysville), which I’ll write about very soon. I’m also exploring video ideas. Is that something that interests you? Anything you’d like to see? If you have anything you’d let me to cover, let me know!
If you’d give this post a like, that really helps the page out. And please subscribe! I’d love to stay in touch.
Scene in Edmonds: Whale of a Sunday
Some great photos over at MyEdmondsNews.com.
How many places can you watch whales clearly not too far from shore.

Quite the day, weather-wise here in Edmonds & Lynnwood
Quite a combination of weather today near the Salish Sea.
I woke to a lovely morning snowfall.
By the time we needed to head to church, the snow was mostly gone. We had a few flurries through the late morning and afternoon, with nothing sticking.
My son’s youth group went to an Everett Silvertips game in the late afternoon. The sun was shining brightly, though quite cold. Oh, and a brisk, strong wind. So we went and walked along the Edmonds Waterfront; one of our favorite things. According to the weather station at the marina, it was 34 degrees with windchill dragging things down to 27. Brrrr!
Looking north from Brackett’s Landing, Mount Baker was glorious. I didn’t bring a decent camera with me, so you get these taken with my phone. Not too bad, but nowhere near capturing it’s awesomeness.
The wind was pretty relentless. Sea water spraying and wind howling through the boats’ rigging in the marina.
A very lovely afternoon along Puget Sound. Lovely….and cold. But we weren’t alone. Many good folks dared the frigidity to enjoy the sun. Even some windsurfers with their gear on the beach. Pretty sure hoping for a break in the strong winds (there was a small craft advisory for the Sound).
How was your Sunday? Hope it was grand.
And today is done
Clouds come, clouds go. A day filled with change. Rain, sun, back and forth. Every time I looked out the window, it was different.
Now, though, it’s dark and time to sleep. So I bid thee good night.
Moving Day
The Lynnwood Wendy’s Remodel Is Coming Right Along
While driving to work the other morning and waiting for the light at 196th and 52nd (right next to Wilcox park), I got this glimpse of the work being done on the old Lynnwood Wendy’s. It feels funny to consider it “old”, and it was built when was in junior high or high-school. Most importantly, it’s been pretty much the same since it was first opened. So, the update should be very welcome.
